How calendar sync works
Every council page has a calendar feed. Subscribe once and your council's school holidays appear in your phone's calendar — and stay right when dates change or next year's dates are published.
Google Calendar (Android, web)
- Open your council's page on Term Diary.
- Tap Google Calendar.
- Google asks if you want to add the calendar. Tap Add.
On a phone, the calendar can take a few minutes to appear. Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, usually within a day.
Apple Calendar (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
- Open your council's page in Safari.
- Tap Apple Calendar.
- Tap Subscribe, then Add.
Outlook
- Open your council's page.
- Click Outlook and sign in if asked.
- Click Import or Subscribe.
What's in the feed
- Half terms, Christmas, Easter and the summer holidays
- First and last day of every term
- Bank holidays that fall in term time
INSET (training) days are not in the feed, because each school chooses its own. Academies and free schools may use different dates — check your school's website.
How to remove it
Delete or unsubscribe from the calendar in your calendar app's settings, like any other calendar. Term Diary has no account and stores nothing about you.
